What the process involves
Professional countertop restoration is done in stages: multi-step dust-free sanding to remove the damaged top layer and even out the surface, then re-oiling with a quality oil (natural, white or dark) that soaks in, protects the wood and brings back its warmth. Done right, it removes scratches, stains and water damage and leaves the surface sealed and food-safe.
When is it worth it?

How pricing works
Price depends mostly on the total length in running metres and the wood's condition. Standard, L-shaped and U-shaped countertops are straightforward; surfaces over about 5 running metres get a tailored quote. The fastest way to a price: send a photo of the surface, the approximate length, and the wood type (oak, walnut, pine, beech). In private homes, the labour may qualify for a tax deduction.
